NLP Always works! Only if you’ve been taught EVERYTHING!

blog-article-5

It is the universal truth that Psychology is not like a scientific equation which suggests A equals B. In fact, in Psychology A can be equal to B or C or D. The same is the case with NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). NLP is a branch of psychology and neuroscience which helps you program the brain to achieve any outcome in your life. It has a lot of interpersonal, linguistic, and therapeutic interventions which helps in programming the brain.

Here are some therapies in NLP, to name a few:

  • Dealing with unwanted habits and cravings
  • Dealing with phobias
  • Doing away with internal and external conflicts
  • Being in a resourceful state before, during and after important events
  • Dealing with traumas, depression
  • Motivating self/others
  • Problem solving and dealing with dilemmas
  • Dealing with negative emotions and creating your future
  • Building the right connect, rapport
  • Understanding learning styles and having the right strategy to win

These are just to name a few. You can see the entire outline on our website in the training outline section. The list is quite big which you will realise after looking at the entire outline. These are various ways to program the brain. Now the interesting part is that you will see the results for sure after running the therapies and interventions. But there is no scientific equation to prove that it works. There is no need really for any scientific equation because you can see the results for yourself.

But we see this all the time. People with not even half the knowledge of NLP are naturally not good NLP Therapists or even Trainers. One very serious trend we are seeing in the market is underqualified NLP Trainers and Therapists are posing as Master Trainers and Master Coaches, and naturally they are doing bad jobs. This is certain section of people say NLP doesn’t work.

If you are looking to become an NLP Trainer, Master Trainer, NLP Coach, NLP Therapist, please make sure you compare the content before you decide your Trainer/Coach and the Association before you enrol for the program. Because the reality is that if some trainer with 50% knowledge was to train you, that is 100% for you. You are missing out on the remaining 50%. And usually, people don’t spend multiple times on the same course to attend from different trainers. Hence it is imperative that the course outline and the content is looked at before enrolling.

Outlines is one thing. But what is also important is the trainer must give you the right perspective and examples in various areas of life for the concept discussed. Psychology based topics require an in-depth insight on how they are applicable in areas like relationships, parenting, leadership, training, coaching etc. Afterall, most people come join psychology certifications to make their life better and have some useful breakthroughs.

Last but not the least, usually after such certifications, there is great need of handholding and support post the training. Most of the Associations/Trainers do not have follow-up or Practice Sessions to ensure complete implementation of the learnings.

Finally, all we would say is responsibility for Value lies with you. Make sure you take the right decision to choose the right trainer and association for effective learning and transformation.

Richard Bandler was always a very curious student and would model excellence by learning a lot of concepts, therapies conceptualized by other people. He would replicate anything what others are doing well, especially in the Psychology space. One such time, he was running Gestalt Therapy on someone when John Grinder noticed him. Grinder came to Bandler and said, “If you tell me what you are doing, I will help you do it better”. Thus started the famous partnership and both of them wrote the first book on NLP. Some time later, trainings on the topic commenced and within a few years, we saw lots of NLP Trainers teaching NLP all over the world.
